As a professional, it is vital to build rapport with you, as well as, provide treatment that is directed to the needs and circumstances you bring into the counseling session. With that, a safe environment is provided in which you, the client, can be open and honest about your individual concerns and direction you would like to proceed.
In summary, I believe that you are a cherished son/daughter of our heavenly Father. You have value and purpose! It is my desire, if interested, to assist you through coming to a full understanding of His desire to know you intimately. One of our greatest fears is to be fully known, yet, it is at this place that the greatest healing and understanding can come.
I am honored to be completing my internship at Family Concern Counseling as part of the final step in finishing my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Grace College and Seminary, which will be completed in May of 2012. Having been an educator for many years, I have seen the value of learning new life skills learning to apply these to life experiences and circumstances through the Truth of the scriptures. Finding freedom and life contentment in spite of personal trauma and identity through spiritual relationship has been a painful yet rewarding journey. Transformed thinking [Romans 12:1-2], admitted brokenness and safe confession for healing [James 5:16] has been and continues to be life changing for many and can be for you as well.
It will be a huge step for you to pursue change and learn to live life differently, yet can be a very rewarding experience, even through the difficulties and fear change can present. The courage to take that step can be the difference you have been looking for. I look forward to meeting you.
